Good question. As I know there is no time limit for receiving the free Kit. There was no indication about that anywhere in the letter from Guzzi about kits. But I will ask for confirmation, just to be sure.

Confirmed:
There is no time-limit for mounting the new valvetrain (KIT A,B oder C)

Again:

1) all (obbligatory) periodic check should result as executed (by an official Guzzi garage)

2) no kilometers limit

3) no time limit

4) photos of damaged parts (buckets and/or cams) should be sent to Moto Guzzi (alternatively, your Garage could ask the visit of a Guzzi inspector)

3) kit is for free (commercial value around 1000,00 Euro)

4) only mounting costs are charged (170-200 Euro?)

Ich bin draußen aus dem Problem, die NTX ist verkauft.

Demnächst gibt es hier evtl. ein paar Ersatzteile zu kaufen, die ich nicht mehr brauche.

Die weiße 2014er steht schon beim Händler...

Ach ja: Kit B ist ab sofort verfügbar! Teilenummer ist 1A002063, Rundschreiben folgt, dauert noch ein paar Tage!

Na, ob das wirklich so cool war..? Eher dumm, ich bin halt zu blöd, japanische Motorräder zu reparieren. Und die Guzzis sind ja auch bereits eine Woche nach Erstzulassung quasi wertlos, BMW oder Harley wäre insoweit besser.

Sie hat ja auch schon 40000km und da wären die nächsten 20-30000km so langsam Verschleißteile und größere Wartungen wie z.B. Gabel, Bremsscheiben, Lager etc. gekommen. Plus die Motorenteile ist dann die Zuzahlung gar nicht mehr so wild und die Neue hat das bessere ABS, den größeren Tank und noch tausend Argumente für die beste Ehefrau von allen, gell?

Dafür gibt es jetzt wieder fettfreies Lenkkopflager und sonstigen Pfusch.

Official: Kits B and C are ready
In an official note, Guzzi has informed all garages that, from last Monday, all Stelvio produced before 15 June 2010 can have the "roller" kit for free.
As for Kit A, requirements are:

• all periodic checks was done by an official Guzzi garage


• damage of buckets can be documented by photos (or asking for a visit of a Guzzi inspector)


• kit mounting is done by an official Guzzi garage


• client has to pay only mounting cost

not the 1200 sport. That one has different cam and is not mentioned in the official 02-2014 document. That is at the moment the only 4v that didn't get the new rollers.
