Since in this days Piaggio is making the information official and public, there is no more reason to keep it hidden.

From italian Stelvio Forum:



Piaggio is working to make available a kit for upgrading all the Stelvios using the bucket tappets ("bicchierini") to the new roller ("rullini") valve train.
The factory is working to produce all necessary components to satisfy the future requests. First kits should be available at the end of the year.

The kit itself will be free of cost, only the costs of the montage will be charged to the client if the bike is out of guarantee. Obviously, for bikes still in the guarantee period the modification will be totally gratis.

IMPORTANT NOTE:
The kit will be not mounted upon a simple request of the client, but only if the "bicchierini" problem arises. (So please don't run to your Guzzi garage asking for it even if the bike run good, ok? Is not an official recall.)

REQUIREMENTS:
All bike periodic checks was executed by an official Piaggio-Guzzi garage.

TIMING:
First kits (the so called "yellow kits") will be available initially for Stelvios model year 2010 and 2011 only.
After a certain period (March/April 2014?) kit for models year 2008 and 2009 will be distributed also.


This Piaggio's initiative follows the petition issued by a lot of Stelvio owners of the italian stelvio forum many months ago (June, if I remember right). In particular, by the pressing action of president of the "Moto Guzzi Stelvio Club", that I would like to thank here.
I would also to thank the Piaggio Group for the mature and professional behavior exhibited, revealing the cure and the passion for the big family of Guzzi's owners.

Das bedeutet das alle dieses Kit bekommen ,die den Service regelmässig in einer Fachwerkstatt durchgeführt haben.
Wenn das Kit vielleicht Lieferbar ist.
Leute die den Service nicht gemacht haben müsse den Salat selber bezahlen

Betrifft das nur die, die Rollenstößel verbaut haben? Ich habe noch die 2008 ohne die Rollenstößel.

So wie ich verstanden habe betrifft das alle Modelle ab 2008 , es wird nur verschiedene Kit´s geben
weil die 2008er ander Nockenwellen hat.
Ich fahre ja den 2012 Rollen Motor in einer 2008er mit dem Griso Map von Paul .
Es funktioniert sehr gut .
Also lass uns Warten .
Ich finde es ja sehr Schade das der Kunde oder der Stelvio Club Italia erst an Piaggio herantreten muss damit sich was bewegt .
Ich glaube das der Druck dann doch zu gross war aus Frankreich und Italien .

Genau um die geht es-nur unser Baujahr ist noch nicht dran.

Thank you for your investigationsand for posting ´the beef´. Shame on Piaggio it took them so long to move their extended back. Despite it has not been expressed explicitely I assume this solution is valid / offered worldwide

2012 wurden Tassenstössel und Nockenwelle meiner 2009er gewechselt, aber mir war es nie wohl damit.
Das mit den Rollenstössel scheint mir eine gute Sache zu sein was ich dann auch machen lasse.
Denn über längere Zeit sind die normalen Tassenstössel der Hitze im Z-Kopf nicht gewachsen.
Jetzt hat meine STELVIO wieder eine Zukunft mit mir....
